The 2024 IWF World Championships will take place from December 6th to 15th in Manama, the capital of the Kingdom of Bahrain. This prestigious event will be the last weightlifting event of 2024 and will gather top weightlifters from around the world, competing at the “Weightlifting Marquee Venue”, Manama.

Important Deadlines and Requirements

Preliminary Entries: Participants must upload their preliminary entries into the IWF Online Entry System by September 6, 2024. The final list of athletes must be confirmed in the same system by November 6, 2024. Registration can be completed here.

Media Registration:

All media participants must be approved in advance. Applications should be submitted by November 6, 2024, via the link.

Visa Requirements:

Participants requiring a visa to enter the Kingdom of Bahrain must send their visa application letter to manama2024@iwf.sport by October 16, 2024.

Accommodation and Venue

Athletes and officials will be accommodated at the Diplomat Radisson Blu and Golden Tulip Bahrain hotels. Both hotels are well-prepared to host participants, ensuring a comfortable stay throughout the championship.
