13th February 2020, AWF Executive Board Meeting was held in the beautiful capital city of Uzbekistan. The Executive Board Members came to join in this meeting, to have further discussion for our Asian Weightlifting Families.
Madam Boossaba Yodbangtoey, AWF General Secretary, had a speech to welcome all Executive Board Members and honorable guests; Mr. Mohamed Hassan Jalood, IWF General Secretary, Maj. Gen. Intarat Yodbangtoey, IWF First Vice President, Mr. Jose Carlos Quinones, IWF Vice President, and Mr. Attila Adamfi, IWF Director General. After that, Mr. Shakhrillo Makhmudov, IWF EB and AWF Vice President, delivered the speech as host country to welcome all participants, he promised that he will make this competition as the best for everyone. The Executive Board was appreciated with the support of Uzbekistan Weightlifting Federation that could make this event in the limited time.
After the board approved the Minutes of Pyongyang, DPR Korea, the board discussed about the next host for 2021 AWF Events. The member federations could nominate themselves to be the host before 22 February by the official letter. Furthermore, the board concerned for the Corona virus situation in Asian countries, the updated information will be developed and reported to the board continually.
Regarding to 2020 Asian Championships, the Executive Board Members have agreed to assist our friends who lacked of IT and Human Resources to participate in this event. If they cannot submit by e-entry, the Organizing Committee are pleased to accept their Preliminarily and Final Entries by word/Excel templates. Then the OC may register the information in the system accordingly.
