New World record in Women 64kg by DENG Wei, Congratulate to Korean, Men’s 89kg gold

April 24th, we came to the half way of Asian Championships 2019 and there are still more events to compete. Let’s closely watch in the Women’s 64kg, DENG Wei, Olympic Gold medalist and two times World Championships winner, started her big step with 108kg in the first attempt, 112kg in second and broke World and Asian Record in the last with 115kg. KIM Hyo Sim (PRK) also broke with 114kg, but that was gone. He left the third for CHOE Hyo Sim (PRK) with different gap 10kg in Snatch. DENG continues her big step in Clean & Jerk when she started with 137kg and broke the World and Asian Record again 142kg in the second attempt. The second and third places were KIM, 135kg and CHOE, 134kg. With this great lift, DENG Wei announced her tipple New World and Asian Record with 257kg in Total, the silver and bronze medalists belonged to DRP Korea lifters, KIM Hyo Sim (PRK) for 249kg and CHOE Hyo Sim (PRK) for 238kg.

The evening event started with Men’s 89kg Bodyweight Category, it is look like battle between Korean and Iranian team when their lifters were neck to neck. As usual, all have been began with Snatch and JANG Yeonhak (KOR) won gold medal (166kg). Iranian lifters, CHATRAEI Masoud, lifted 165kg, only 1 kg from JANG, and MIRI Ali, his teammate, did 161kg for the last place. Unfortunately, JANG Yeonhak was injured in the second attempt with 195kg, he also tried in third but he could not make it in Clean & Jerk. As a result, YU Dongju (KOR) took the first place with 207kg, followed by MIRI Ali (IRI) – 205kg and YAMAMOTO Toshiki (JPN) – 203kg. Lastly, the Total winner is YU Dongju (KOR) who lifted 367kg, 1kg add, MIRI Ali (IRI) won the silver and bronze for the Japan lifter, YAMAMOTO Toshiki (JPN), with 358kg. Congratulation all!
