20^th Asian Youth (Qualification Event for the Buenos Aires 2018 Youth Olympic Games), 25^th Asian Junior Women and 32^nd Asian Junior Men Weightlifting Championships were opened on 23^rd April 2018 at Urgench, Uzbekistan. In the opening ceremony, Mr. Mohamed Hassan Jaloud, IWF General Secretary, Mr.Shakhrillo Makhmudov, AWF and Uzbekistan Weightlifting Federation Vice President,  Acting for AWF President and Mrs.Boossaba. Yodbangtoey, AWF General Secretary, delivered speeches to welcome 248 liftes from 22 countries who participate in this great competition. In addition, Iranian Weightlifting Federation sent a female team for the first time with Women’s and they will have a chance to earn quotas for the 2018 YOG to be held in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
