Thai Amateur Weightlifting Association (TAWA) has organized the Annual Congress on 10 March 2018 at Sriwara B, Town in Town Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand. The meeting was composed of Mrs. Boossaba Yodbangtoey (AWF General Secretary and TAWA President) Maj.Gen. Intarat Yodbangtoey (1st IWF Vice President and TAWA Honorary President) Mr.Niwat Limsuknirun, AWF Director General, Technical Committee and TAWA General Secretary, Executive Committees, Honorary Advisors and Advisor Boards.
In 2017, TAWA participated many domestic and international activities, including International Weightlifting Championships, Coach and Technical Official Seminar, etc. TAWA want to develop the sport of weightlifting on an international scale. In this meeting, the TAWA Rules were revised because of the IOC Rules. With reference to Annex 23, the ages of TAWA committees must not over 80 years old in 2027; in addition, the committees must not over 70 years from 2028.
