The 2024 EWF Championships have officially drawn to a close, marking the culmination of an extraordinary event that brought together a multitude of athletes from across Europe, with Team USA participating as a guest for Olympic qualifying purposes.
During the EWF Congress, IWF President, Mr. Mohammed Jalood, emphasized the significance of a clean sport, underlining the essential role of integrity in weightlifting’s evolution and its impact on the global stage. His remarks highlighted the IWF dedication to upholding the highest ethical standards, ensuring that the sport continues to be a beacon of transparency and fairness.
The championships came to an end with a closing ceremony honoring the top players and teams. It was an occasion to honor individuals working behind the scenes as well, such as Eshaq Ebrahim Eshaq, AWF EB Member.
