From May 9 to 15, 2025, the Senior Asian Championship will be held in Jiangshan, China. The first major competition of 2025 is expected to feature the strongest athletes from our continent.
Before this Senior Asian Championship, the next congress meeting of the Asian Weightlifting Federation (AWF) will be held in Jiangshan. The issues discussed at the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) congress in Manama in December 2024 will be reviewed. Additionally, the hosts of prestigious continental competitions for the current year 2025 and the coming years will be considered.
Currently, the AWF has started accepting applications for the Senior Asian Championship to be held in China, and the preliminary start list will be announced one month before the competition, on April 9.
