In the 18th Asian Games, the weightlifting sports has been held from 20th – 27th August 2018 at JIExpo Kemayoran Hall A, Jakarta, Indonesia. The competition is consisted of fifteen (15) events, including eight (8) categories for men’s (56kg, 62kg, 69kg, 77kg, 85kg, 94kg, 105kg, +105kg) and seven (7) categories for women’s (48kg, 53kg, 58kg, 63kg, 69kg, 75kg, + 75 kg). Moreover, DPR Korea, the strongest team, decisively won 8 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze, the runner-up is the lifters from Iran with 2 gold 1 silver and 1 bronze. The third place is Uzbekistan for 1 gold 2 silver 2 bronze. Furthermore, the powerful lifters did many amazing things, including breaking the World and Asian Games Record in Men’s Category. In Men 94kg Category, Moradi Sohrab, Iranian lifter, broke the World, Asia and Asian Games record with Snatch 189kg, also breaking the Asian Games record with Total 410kg. In addition, we have another new record in Men 105kg Category, Nurudinov Ruslan, Uzbek lifter, broke the Asian Games Record with 230kg in Clean & Jerk and Total 421kg. On this occasion, it had been honored to welcome the honorable guests who came to visit and cheer athletes at the venue as follows:

Furthermore, there are 166 lifters from 30 countries which participated in the Asian Games 2018, we would like to congratulate to Philippines, Indonesia and Iraq for the first time of gold medals in the Asian Games. Also, we are pleased to welcome Laos and Brunei Darussalam for the participation in Asian Games.
