AWF Annual Congress and Seminar

(22nd April 2018) Yesterday, AWF Congress was held at 3 p.m., Karavan Hotel, Urgench, Uzbekistan; moreover, there are three seminars which had topics for Technical, Coaching and Anti-Doping after the congress finished. Mrs.Boossaba. Yodbangtoey, AWF General Secretary, opened the congress together with Mr. Mohamed Hassan Jaloud, IWF General Secretary, and Mr.Shakhrillo Makhmudov, AWF and Uzbekistan Weightlifting Federation Vice President, as Acting for AWF President. In this congress, Coaching and Research, Technical and Medical committee reported the progress of each committee to the president and members, also it has general briefing report for each commission: Athletics, Development, Ethics, Membership, Disciplinary, Financial, Marketing, Women, Master, Media & Communication.
There are conclusions from Executive Board Meeting that AWF General Secretariat will be the coordination center to solve Whereabouts problems, AWF Secretariat will assist and coordinate with AWF Members in case of occurrences in the future. Furthermore, Ms.Lilla Rozgonyi, IWF Representative, informed the information of Tokyo 2020 Olympics Qualification system, also Indonesia had a presentation of Asian Games 2018 which be held from 18 August to 2 September 2018 at Jakarta to the meeting.
After the congress finished, there are Technical Seminar which updated the change of rules and regulations, also Anti-Doping Seminar by Dr.Siripoj Sribunditkul from Thailand which informed participants how to register Whereabouts and TUE. The last one was Coaching Seminar which gave details how to set training programs and different formats of training. These seminar were successful and attracted many coaches, athletes and others to join together.
