Indian Weightlifting Federation conducted a Workshop for Indian Technical Officials with Expert Speaker – Ms. Reiko Chinen of Japan, Asian Weightlifting Federation Technical Committee Member.
50 Indian technical officials attended the Workshop at Patiala. The Workshop started in the weightlifting center at Patiala on 1st March 2024.
The primary objective of the Weightlifting Technical Officials Workshop was to enhance the knowledge, skills, and standardization among weightlifting officials by international guidelines and standards.

- In-depth discussions on the latest rules and regulations set forth by the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF).

Practical Training:-
- Hands-on practice sessions during a stock competition amongst the NIS Diploma Holders on 2nd March 2024 for officials to refine their skills in judging lifts, assessing technique, and ensuring safety protocols.
- Simulation of various scenarios to improve decision-making abilities and consistency among officials.
Technical Equipment Demonstration:-
- Introduction to new technologies and equipment used in weightlifting competitions, including electronic scoring systems and video replay tools.

- The workshop concluded on 4th March 2024 and Ms. Reiko Chinen was again escorted by Mrs. Sabina Yadav from Patiala to Chandigarh to New Delhi on 5th March 2024. Ms. Reiko Chinen departed from New Delhi on 5th March 2024 evening.
