April 23rd, at Ningbo 2019 Asian Championships, it has more events to compete, also there are still more records to break by our powerful Asian lifters. The day began with Men’s 81kg Bodyweight Categories, LI Dayin (CHN), Junior World Record holder, lifted 168kg in the second attempt, as same as his record, for gold medal in Snatch. The second is CHOE Jonwi (PRK), 2018 Asian Games Medalist, with 162kg and ULANOV Denis (KAZ) – 160kg for the third. For Clean & Jerk, CHOE fought back to first place when he lifted 197kg in the second, also his teammate, RI Chong Song, lifted the same weight in third attempt. ULANOV still in the third at 196kg. As a result, LI Dayin won the gold with 363kg, CHOE Jonwi – 359kg and ULANOV Denis – 356kg in Total.

In Women 59kg Bodyweight Categories, KUO Hsing-Chun (TPE) easily started snatch lift 100kg in the first and end with the new World & Asian Record, her record, for 106kg. She left the silver and bronze for CHEN Guiming (CHN) – 102kg and HOANG Thi Duyen (VIE) – 101kg respectively. In Clean & Jerk, KUO did it again when she broke World & Asian Record with 137kg. It is more 6kg than CHEN, former record holder, and the third is for ANDOH Mikiko (JPN). These are all Eastern Asian lifters. With great performance, KUO Hsing-Chun set the triple World & Asian Record with 243kg in Total and this is the first gold for Chinese Taipei in the championshsips. The host lifter, CHEN Guiming, still in the second with 233kg and ANDOH Mikiko lifted for 225kg. Many new records are the signs of Asian weightlifting development and hope that we will heard the new record announcements again from now on.
