April 25th, we are still here, at Ningbo, to watch the excited championships with our Asian friends. This evening began in Men’s 96kg bodyweight categories and TIAN Tao (CHN), Olympic gold medalist, took gold medal, 181kg, in Snatch. The Qatar star and World Junior Champion, ELBAKH Fares (QAT), was the runner-up, 174kg, and MOUSAVIJARAHI  Seyedayoob (IRI) for 166kg. Unfortunately, ELBAKH could not lift three times in Clean & Jerk, so he did not have any medals in Clean & Jerk. The gold still belonged to the host lifter when TIAN lifted 220kg. He had been tried to break the World record with 231kg, but he could not make it.

MOUSAVIJARAHI is the second with 207kg, less 13kg, and HAN Junghoon (KOR) ended the lift with 206kg. As a result, TIAN Tao (CHN) has a big victory at 401kg, 28kg more than MOUSAVIJARAHI  Seyedayoob who did 373kg and bronze for HAN Junghoon (KOR) 366kg.

Let’s come to the Women’s 71kg Bodyweight Categories, Despite no host lifters, but this event still attracted attendances. With no doubt, RIM Un Sim (PRK) who started 103kg in the first attempts and end in 111kg won the gold medal, she left 14kg from MITSUKE Eri (JPN), the second place,  97kg and NGUYEN THI Van (VIE), the third, 95kg. In Clean & Jerk, RIM was the first place with 130kg, but there still more compete for the rest. BYKOVA Yekaterina (KAZ) tried at 122kg for the silver medal, but she missed in the last attempt. Therefore, NGUYEN THI finished 121kg for silver and the bronze medalist was MITSUKE Eri (JPN), 118kg. Finally, RIM Un Sim, 2018 Asian Games and World Champion, won 241kg in Total. The Vietnamese, NGUYEN THI Van, was the second – 216kg and the third for MITSUKE Eri (JPN) – 215kg. That’s all for today and cannot wait for tomorrow events. We are waiting for new challenges!
