The Southeast Asian Weightlifting Federation (SEAWF) had organized the 2021 SEAWF Technical Official Course during 24 – 26 December 2021 at Phuket, Thailand. This course supported by the IWF Development Program, also supported apporved lecturers by rgw AWF. This course aimed to develop technical officials in the Southeast Asia region.
Due to the pandemic and strict rules, many countries could not travel, and cancelled to travel to Phuket Sandbox So it organized in hybrid: in-person and Zoom online with 93 persons from 10 countries in Southeast Asian region. On this occasion, it was good opportunity that there were weightlifting experts: Mrs. Chinen Reiko, IWF & AWF Technical Member and AWF Executive Board Member, Dr. Niwat Limsuknirun, AWF Technical Committee, and Dr. Sirilak Thatman, IWF Technical Committee Member, who were lecturers in the course. All participants were provided for basic Technical official and update IWF TCRR which required for TOs. In addition, it had Q&A sessions at the end of each topic, so they can discuss for further clarification.
Mr. Chairat Udomkitpanya, SEAWF President, emphasized that we should focus on our technical officials to be ready for the coming competition, especially 2022 SEA Games and express his appreciation to the IWF and AWF for support in this course.
