AWF Anti-Doping Seminar at Tashkent

28th February 2020, During the 2020 Asian Youth & Junior Championships – Tashkent, Uzbekistan, Asian Weightlifting Federation with a cooperation of Kazakhstan National Anti-Doping Center, Central Asian RADO and Local Organizing committee had hold the AWF Anti-Doping Seminar for coaches and lifters. This will help them to become successful leaders in the weightlifting.

The organization of the seminar was supported by Mohamed Hassan Jalood, IWF General Secretary and AWF First Vice President, and     Mr. Makhmudov Shakhrillo, IWF Executive Board Member and AWF Vice President. Preventing of doping in sport was the main purpose of the seminar. We must keep clean sport and save the values of sport for our young generations. The workshop consisted of a set of educational activities designed to create a high-level of anti-doping awareness among team representatives, prevent the intentional or unintentional use of prohibited substances and methods, and increase anti-doping literacy.

Coaches as a mentors and role models should protect pure sport and show by own example and use own experience to show the importance of competition in a fair and clean sport. After the completion of a seminar, participants also sent their willingness and messages to the athletes who will compete in Tokyo2020 Olympic Games.
