AWF Executive Board Meeting was held on 22nd April 2018 at 10:00 a.m., Karavan Hotel, Urgench, Uzbekistan. In this occasion, Mrs.Boossaba. Yodbangtoey, AWF General Secretary, opened the meeting with stand up to mourn for for Mr.Aleksandr Kurlovich who passed away. Then Mr. Mohamed Hassan Jaloud, IWF General Secretary, deliver a speech to the Executive Board which influence all to pay more attention to ADAM System and Whereabouts.
In addition, Asian members have to be more careful about these because IOC is on the process to evaluate Weightlifting as part of sport in PARIS 2024. IWF must follow the rules and regulations strictly. For the host country, Mr.Shakhrillo Makhmudov, AWF and Uzbekistan Weightlifting Federation Vice President, deliver a welcome speech to all and regret that there were 11 countries could not participate in this competition because of Whereabouts problem. In the meeting, Ms.Lilla Rozgonyi, IWF Representative, informed the reasons why those countries disqualified from this competition and suggested that AWF General Secretariat should be the coordination center to solve this problem. AWF General Secretary agreed that this center will help to notify and gather the information about updating information of Whereabouts in the future. In addition, Ms.Lilla Rozgonyi also informed the information of Tokyo 2020 Olympics Qualification system to the meeting.
