China and Koreas Continue Medal Haul on Day 2

The weightlifting event at the 2022 Asian Games continued with fervor on 1st October 2023. The day was marked by intense competition in the men’s categories, with athletes from China and both Koreas dominating the podium.

In the M61kg category, LI Fabin of China demonstrated exceptional skill and strength, securing the gold medal. He was closely followed by PAK Myongjin of DPR Korea, who clinched the silver. KIM Chungguk, also representing DPR Korea, showcased commendable determination, bagging the bronze medal.

The M67kg session witnessed another round of intense competition. CHEN Lijun of China emerged victorious, adding another gold to China’s tally. RI Wonju of DPR Korea displayed immense prowess, securing the silver medal. LEE Sangyeon, representing the Republic of Korea, added to the day’s excitement by clinching the bronze.

The second day of weightlifting at the Asian Games highlighted the incredible talent and dedication of the athletes. The performances of the day reiterated the dominance of China and the Koreas in the weightlifting arena. As the competition progresses, spectators and enthusiasts eagerly await more thrilling performances and record-breaking feats.
