Dates Set for 2025 Asian Youth Games in Bahrain

The Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) has confirmed the 3rd Asian Youth Games will be held from October 22-31, 2025, in Bahrain, stepping in after Uzbekistan’s withdrawal. With the Bahrain Olympic Committee at the helm, the games are set to be a vibrant display of young talent. Bahrain’s readiness spans across excellent sports venues, accommodation, and medical services, ensuring a well-prepared backdrop for the games.    

Through persistent efforts and strong advocacy by the Asian Weightlifting Federation and the Bahrain Weightlifting Federation, our sport has been successfully added to the program. The inclusion of Weightlifting at the Asian Youth Games is a testament to the sport’s growing appeal, bolstered by Bahrain’s successful hosting of the 2024 IWF World Championships. The Asian Weightlifting Federation expresses its appreciation for this opportunity to promote the sport among youth, highlighting its potential for fostering athletic careers.

  21. Teqball

As we anticipate the 2025 Asian Youth Games, we are looking forward to another top-class event in Manama. 

Detailed schedules and event listings will be communicated to all participating National Olympic Committees to ensure optimal preparation for what promises to be an engaging celebration of youth sports and all weightlifting info will be posted on AWF website once it become avaible.
