EGAT’s 3rd King’s Cup & 13th Princess’ Cup (Junior & Youth) Khon Kaen, Thailand

26th June 2019, The amazing number of 370 Thai young generation lifter participated in EGAT’s 3rd King’s Cup & 13th Princess’ Cup (Junior & Youth) at Khon Kaen, Thailand.

Thai Amateur Weightlifting Association (TAWA) had been held during 16th – 25th June 2019 in the northeastern region. In this competition, there are 265 lifters from 31 clubs in Youth, also 105 lifters of 18 clubs in Junior. It was delighted to know that young lifters did great performances by national record breaking.

Moreover, Thai coaches, referees and athletes also attended in the Anti-Doping Seminar on 14th June 2019 prior to the event. The seminar was opened by Lt. Gen. Phiboon Wicheanwan, Vice President and Technical Chairman of TAWA and the expert of Doping Control Agency of Thailand (DCAT) is the key lecturer in this seminar. The expert emphasized how important of Anti-Doping in worldwide sports events and share other technical and useful information to the participants, including Anti-Doping Rules and how dangerous effect of the prohibit substances to the body if they used.

The purpose of this seminar is to show how to protect the lifters from prohibit substances and understanding in examination procedure. The coaches had been received more knowledge, to take care their athletes in this matter. Moreover, the athletes should have precaution and good practices to avoid any doping causes. Also, there was DCAT booth which has officers to share Anti-Doping information and has activities to attract participants.
