One time is not enough, the host lifters broke the World Record Again and Again!

April 22nd, more days, more excited in 2019 Asian Championships. Despite of the rain outside, but it’s still hot competitions inside the venue, Ningbo Youngor Gymnasium. In Men’s 73kg Bodyweight Categories, SHI Zhiyong (CHN), 2016 Olympic Champions and World Record Holder, was such a shining star when he broke his own World and Asian Records by himself in Snatch. He set the new records in the second attempt with 165kg and did it again with 168kg in the third time. YUAN Chengfei (CHN) also did good job in the second – 156kg and O Kang Chol (PRK) – 150kg for the third. In Clean & Jerk, SHI missed in the first time, but still came back in the third with 194kg, also YUAN who made 193kg in the third attempt after missed in the second. The third is still O Kang Chol (PRK) – 188kg. SHI Zhiyong who missed 2 timed and came back with new World and Asian Record in Total 362kg. YUAN Chengfei won the silver medal – 349kg and bronze for O Kang Chol – 338kg.

      
Let’s come to another event, the Women’s 55kg bodyweight categories. DIAZ Hidilyn (PHI) almost won in the snatch; however, she missed in the last attempts. LIAO Qiuyun (CHN) won in the last attempt with 96kg, and DIAZ became the runner-up with 94kg, NABIEVA Muattar (UZB) – 91kg respectively. For Clean & Jerk, the place still in the same when LIAO won with 128kg, more than DIAZ 13kg, left the third for NABIEVA – 113 kg. This is the new World and Asian Record again by the host lifters. With no doubt, the Total gold medal belonged to LIAO Qiuyun (CHN) with 224kg, silver for DIAZ Hidilyn (PHI) – 209 kg and NABIEVA Muattar (UZB) – 204kg for Bronze. Congratulation All!
