8th March 2020, Thai Amateur Weightlifting Association (TAWA) was held the Electoral Congress on 8th March 2020 at Town in Town Hotel, Bangkok – THAILAND. The election was held after the resignation of Madam Boossaba Yodbangtoey, Ex-TAWA President, in last January due to the constitution.
In this occasion, there were the representatives of the Sports Authority of Thailand joined in this election as observers, also all member federations participated. After Maj. Gen. Intarat Yodbangtoey, TAWA Honorary President, announced withdrawal from nomination to the Congress, Mr. Prachaya Keeratinant was elected unanimously as the President of TAWA. He purposed to promote Thai Weightlifting to become one of Asian leaders again and will try his best for the benefit of all. The results will be sent to the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) for approval then the new Board Members will be appointed accordingly.
