Thai Amateur Weightlifting Federation (TAWA) celebrating 60th Anniversary of its foundation since 1958. The celebration was held on 22nd December 2018 at Golden Tulip Sovereign Hotel, Bangkok. In this occasion, it was honored that Khunying Patama Leeswadtrakul, IOC Members, participated in this event. She praised that TAWA has been working hard to promote and develop the weightlifting sport values among athletes, also encourage them to join in the regional and international championships.For the success of last decade, she admired two key persons, Major General Intarat Yodbangtoey, IWF 1st Vice President and TAWA Honorary President, and Madam Boossaba Yodbangtoey, AWF General Secretary and TAWA President, who introduced a new age in Thai weightlifting with their leaderships.
Furthermore, it has former TAWA presidents, athletes and Olympic winners (2000 – 2016) who came to participate in this great occasion. Congratulations to TAWA for wonderful journey of six decades of success!!
