The Time is now, 2019 Asian Championships started!

Welcome to Ningbo, the best place for 2019 Asian Weightlifting Champions!

With  hospitality of Chinese Weightlifting Association, this is the best and biggest weightlifting competition of Asian Continent in 2019. This is the first Asian qualification event, Gold Level, for Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and there are participants from 28 countries and 415 delegates, officials and athletes, come together in this championship.

In the opening ceremony, the organizing committee, Mr. ZHOU Jinqiang, President of Chinese Weightlifting Association, and Madam XU Ya’nan, Vice Mayor of Ningbo Municipal Government, delivered the speech that they are pleased to be the host of the championships and glad to welcome IWF representatives and AWF delegates as the honor guests in this event. Also, they are appreciated for the cooperation of the local organizing committees to make this successful event.

     
For the first day, let’s start with Men’s 55kg, the first gold medal is belonged to AL SALEEM Mansour Abduhulahim (KSA). He made a decisive win with 262kg in Total, more than the second 14kg. The silver medal is for HAZALWAFIE Muhammad Azroy ( MAS) – 248 kg and Bronze for CHONTEY Arli (KAZ) with 246 kg. Next event is Men’s 61kg bodyweight, it is definitely sure that Chinese will happy with the results when their lifters took two medals from LI Fabin – 312 kg and QIN Fulin – 302kg in Total. LI Fabin almost broke up the Asian record in Clean & Jerk, but he missed in the third attempts. The last medalist for today is IRAWAN Eko Yuli (INA), the Asian Record lifter, who won the bronze medal with 299 kg.
