Weightlifters Continue to Impress in Final Stages of Competition

As we approach the conclusion of the 19th Asian Games, the weightlifting event continues to captivate audiences with thrilling performances. The 6th of October 2023 was no exception, with athletes pushing their limits in the M 109kg and W 87kg categories.

In the M 109kg category, LIU Huanhua of China clinched gold with a total of 418kg, narrowly edging out DJURAEV Akbar of Uzbekistan, who secured silver with 417kg. The bronze was claimed by NURUDINOV Ruslan, also from Uzbekistan, with a total of 391kg.

The W 87kg session was marked by China’s LIANG Xiaomei’s dominant performance, securing gold with a total of 275kg. YUN Ha Je from the Republic of Korea showcased her skill and determination, bagging the silver with 252kg, while her compatriot JUNG Aram added to the day’s medal tally with a bronze, lifting a total of 245kg.

The seventh day of weightlifting at the Asian Games was a testament to the high level of competition and the sheer determination of the athletes. As the event nears its conclusion, the world watches in anticipation for the final showdowns.
