August 25th, 2018, let’s have fun in Men 94kg and Women 69kg Category.
For the first event, H.R.H. Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah, President of Olympic Council of Asia, was welcomed as the AWF honorary guest. Moreover, Dr. Tamás Aján, IWF President, Mr. Mohammed Yousef AL Mana, AWF President, and Mrs. Boossaba Yodbangtoey, AWF General Secretary, AWF Executive Board Members also came to cheer lifters at the venue. In Men 94kg Category, the glory moment turned to Iranian lifter, Moradi Sohrab, who break the world record with 189kg in Snatch, but unfortunately he cannot break 234kg in Clean & Jerk. The powerful Moradi ended games with the Total 410kg. Elbakh Fares (QAT) won silver and bronze for Sumpradit Sarat (THA). In Women 69kg Category, the gold medal awarded for Rim Un Sim (PRK) with Total 246kg. Hung Wanting (TPE) took the second place and the third is MunYura (KOR).
