On 6 October, the AWF Executive Board hold the EB meeting at Manama, the Kingdom of Bahrain during the 2022 Asian Championships. It would be honoredthat H.H. Shaikh Isa Bin Ali Bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Vice President of Bahrain Olympic Committee participate in the meeting, alsoMr. Mohammed JALOOD, IWF President and IWF Executive Board join together to discuss on the way of weightlifting sport.
Mr. Mohamed Yousef Al Mana, the President, had a speech to welcome everyoneto the meeting, also Madam Boossaba, General Secretary, discussed with the important topics to promote and develop our sport for Asian Families. Regarding this event, the board approved the contribution for members who needed support from the AWF; including competition cost and training equipment. This will help our members to have a chance to develop their athlete in the national and international competitions. The Korean Federation also presented in the meeting for the preparation of 2023 Asian Championships (Paris 2024 – Qualification Event) at Jinju city, Korea. This will be one of the important event in 2023 and our lifters are waiting for this surely. Also, the board approved for the new date of Election which will be informed to the member later accordingly.
