AWF Executive Board Meeting has been held on 18th April at Marriot Ningbo, China. Due to the urgent mission, Mr. Mohamed Yousef Al Mana, AWF President, could not attend the meeting, so Mr. Makhmudov Shakhrillo, AWF Acting President and Vice President, had a speech to welcome all board members to 2019 Asian Championships, together with Madam Boossaba Yodbangtoey, AWF General Secretary. Furthermore, we are pleased to welcome the honor guests, Maj. Gen. Intarat Yodbangtoey, IWF First Vice President as IWF Representative & AWF Honorary President and Mr. Mohammed Hasan Jalood AL-SHAMMARI, IWF General Secretary & AWF First Vice President, participated together in the meeting.
In this occasion, Mr. ZHOU Jinqiang, President of Chinese Weightlifting Association, had a speech to welcome all board members, he presented that everything is well prepared for everyone such as venue, accommodation, facilities, etc. The board member received reports of all committee, they need to develop weightlifting sports in the technical, coaching and medical which will be useful for our Asian lifters in the coming competitions. Also, the financial manager informed the financial report of 2018 and estimated 2019 budget with KPMG and it has AWF Constitution Modification which has many important topics on AWF bodies for further discussions.
In addition, there are presentations from the host of future events, 2019 Asian Youth & Junior Championships, DPR Korea and 2020 Asian Championships, Kazakhstan. The presentations were show the accommodations and venues which have most facilities which are convenient for participants, so we are sure that they are ready to the host of great Asian events in the near future.
