On 19th April, it is pleasure to see our members in AWF Congress which held in Ningbo, China. There are delegates from 34 countries, participating in this congress, and they are mostly welcome by the host Mr. ZHOU Jinqiang, President of Chinese Weightlifting Association and Madam XU Ya’nan, Vice Mayor of Ningbo Municipal Government.
The congress started with the welcome speech of Mr. Makhmudov Shakhrillo, AWF Acting President and Vice President, together with Madam Boossaba Yodbangtoey, AWF General Secretary. Moreover, there are representative from IWF, Maj. Gen. Intarat Yodbangtoey, IWF First Vice President and Mr. Mohammed Hasan Jalood AL-SHAMMARI, IWF General Secretary & AWF First Vice President. Congress delegates received reports of committees and financial report, also it has AWF Constitution Modification which has many important topics for further discussions. In addition, DPR Korea presented that they are ready to be the host of 2019 Asian Youth & Junior Championships and answers for the questions of participants.
In the evening, there are two seminar, Coaching and Anti-Doping, for all participants, including officials, coaches and athletes. Mrs. Chinen Reiko Kato is the lecturer for Coaching and Ms. Tchobanian Seza for Anti-Doping.
