DPR Korea is ready for 2019 Asian Youth & Junior Weightlifiting Championships

AWF Delegations had a technical visit during 8th – 10th December 2108 at Pyongyang, DPR Korea for 2019 Asian Youth & Junior Weightlifting Championships preparation. Dr. Niwat Limsuknirun, AWF Director General and Technical Committee Member, as AWF Delegation, visit the hotels, accommodation, competition & training venue to check all facilities which needed to be prepared for the championships. In this occasion, it was honored that Mr. KANG Ryong Gil, Deputy General Secretary of NOC of DPRK, Mr.KIM Kwang Dok, General Secretary of DPRK Weightlifting Association, Mr. JANG Song Nam, International Director of DPRK Weightlifting Association, also participated and discussed with many important matters.

In brief, DPR Korea showed that they are ready to be the host of the championships in next year. The hotels are in good location with facilities at the sport village and it took only 10 minutes from the competition venue. The venue is big and has good standard for the international competition. We believed that Pyongyang is ready for the championships and see you in next year!
