Madam Boossaba Yodbangtoey, AWF General Secretary, Dr. Niwat Limsuknirun, AWF Director General and Technical Committee Member, also Mr. David Goldstorm, AWF Director of Television, paid a technical visit during 17th – 20th December to Ningbo, China for 2019 Asian Championships. In this occasion, AWF Delegation had discussions with Mr. HE Yiqun, Director, and Ms. MENG Bo, Deputy Director of Chinese Weightlifting Association Secretariat, also the representatives of Ningbo Sports Bureau for the championship preparation. Presentation from key Functional Areas were made, and the host city promised that they will all be in line with the AWF event organization requirements.
After the discussion, they had a site visit at Ningbo Youngor Gymnasium, Competition Venue, which was renovated in last year. The venue located in good location with facilities and it is just 2 km from the accommodation and 0.5 km from the training venue. With 5,000 seating capacity and international competition standard, it believed that this will be the best place for the great championships in 2019.
