East Asian Weightlifting Federation (EAWF) Congress was held on 19th April at Crowne Plaza City Center Ningbo. Mr. Choi Sung-Yong, the President, invited all members and there are 7 of 8 MFs participated in this time including Korea, DPR Korea, China, Japan, Chinese Taipei, Macau, and Mongolia. In addition, they are honorary guests from IWF and AWF, Maj. Gen. Intarat Yodbangtoey, IWF First Vice President & AWF Honorary President, Mr. Mohammed Hasan Jalood AL-SHAMMARI, IWF General Secretary & AWF First Vice President, and Madam Boossaba Yodbangtoey, AWF General Secretary.
The congress started with the welcome speech of Mr. Choi Sung-Yong, the President, and Mr. ZHOU Jinqiang, President of Chinese Weightlifting Association. In the meeting, they discussed on work plan and activities for 2019. EAWF will organize the 1st East Weightlifting Championships which has been confirmed to be held in Daejeon Metropolitan City in February 2020, tt also has EAWF Electoral Congress to be held there at the same period.
