Final Verification Meeting Precedes Asian Weightlifting Championships 2025

On the eve of the Asian Weightlifting Championships 2025, the Asian Weightlifting Federation (AWF) convened a critical Final Verification Meeting at the Yunfan Sport Resort Hotel in Jiangshan, China. This procedural session, attended by official delegations from participating nations, served as a platform to review and finalize athlete registrations and competition details prior to the event’s commencement.

Delegation representatives collaboratively reviewed athlete data, ensuring compliance with eligibility criteria and addressing any necessary modifications to participant information. The meticulous verification process emphasized accuracy and adherence to international weightlifting standards, safeguarding the integrity of the competition. Following the confirmation of finalized entries, the official start list for the championships was systematically generated and disseminated to all stakeholders, ensuring transparency and organizational coherence.

Upon finalization of the start list, the AWF confirmed the participation of 171 athletes representing 26 national teams across Asia. Notably, the delegations from China, Chinese Taipei, and South Korea registered full squads, each comprising the maximum quota of 20 athletes. This robust representation underscores the competitive depth and regional significance of the championships.
