Get Ready for Tashkent 2022

Welcome to the Tashkent! The 2022 Asian Youth & Junior has started from 17th – 25th July 2022 in the beautiful country of Uzbekistan. In the Opening Ceremony, it would be honor that His Excellency Adkham Ilkhamovich Ikramov, the Minister of Sports Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, had delivery speech to welcome all honorary guests, Executive Board and team delegates to join together. Moreover, Mr. Mohammed Jalood, IWF President, and H.E. Mohamed    Al Mana, AWF President, also had a speech in this ceremony. The championships  will be focus on development of young lifters, to earn experiences and making friends in the competition. Not only that, it should focus on play clean sport in weightlifting as main purpose to keep clean for all.

For Youth Women 40kgA, COLONIA Angeline L. (PHI) took 2 Gold Medals in Snatch – 62kg and Total – 134kg. she missed only 1 kg in C&J, so DUONG THI KIM YEN (VIE) won Gold with 129kg. AKANKSHA VYAVHARE Kishor (IND) won the third place with 125kg in Total.

In the evening, BUI MINH DAO (VIE) won Gold medal in C&J – 111kg and Total – 196kg in Youth Men 49 kg. Another Vietnamese lifter, A TIEU, beaten his teammate in Snatch with 91kg for Gold. Moreover, DELOS SANTOS, Prince Keil B. (PHI) at the third place for C&J and Total, and L DHANUSH (IND) lifted 85kg in Snatch for Bronze medal.
