On 19th April 2021, the AWF Executive Board Meeting was held at Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Due to the pandemic situation, the meeting was hybrid between in-person and online. Mr. Mohamed Jalood, IWF General Secretary and AWF 1st Vice President, had a speech to welcome all and glad to see everyone once again after the year of pandemic, also Madam Boossaba Yodbangtoey, AWF General Secretary, attended in this meeting.
The Board had discussed and aimed to move forward the Asian Weightlifting, to promote and develop athletes for their further career. There will be the 2021 Asian Championships in November and the Board hope that they can see every members participate there. In addition, it was a big thanks to Mr. Makhmudov Shakhrillo, IWF Executive Board Member and AWF Vice President, for his hospitality and well organized in this competition.
